Test & Measurement

Hardware connectivity and data analysis for test and measurement applications

The MathWorks Test & Measurement solution provides a complete set of tools for test, data analysis and modeling, and presentation-quality reports, all in a single environment.

MATLAB is an interactive software environment and programming language from The MathWorks used to make measurements, analyze and visualize data, generate arbitrary waveforms, control instruments, and build test systems. It provides tools and command-line functions for data analysis tasks such as signal processing, signal modulation, digital filtering, and curve fitting. MATLAB has over 1 million users in diverse industries and disciplines, and it is a standard at more than 3,500 colleges and universities worldwide.

Core Test and Measurement Products

Data Acquisition Toolbox enables you to connect MATLAB and Simulink to data acquisition boards from multiple vendors via ISA, PCI, PXI, PCI-Express, USB, and other standards. Visit the Data Acquisition Toolbox supported hardware page for a complete list of supported devices.

Instrument Control Toolbox enables you to connect MATLAB and Simulink to standalone instruments such as oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, and signal analyzers. The toolbox supports instruments that communicate via serial, GPIB, VISA (including VISA-USB), and TCP/IP communications protocols, as well as industry-standard drivers such as IVI and VXIplug&play. Visit the Instrument Control Toolbox supported hardware page for further details.

Image Acquisition Toolbox lets you acquire images and video directly into MATLAB and Simulink from PC-compatible imaging hardware. Visit the Image Acquisition Toolbox supported hardware page for a complete list of supported cameras and frame grabbers.
