Jim Tung

Jim Tung has more than 25 years experience in the technical computing software markets. He is a 20-year veteran of The MathWorks, holding the positions of vice president of marketing and vice president of business development before assuming his current role focusing on business and technology strategy and analysis.

Jim previously held marketing and sales management positions at Lotus Development and Keithley DAS, a pioneering manufacturer of PC-based data acquisition systems. Jim holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University.

Kevin Cohan

Kevin Cohan is a technical marketing manager at The MathWorks and focuses on MATLAB® and other technical computing products. His earlier career includes roles as a product marketing manager at Mentor Graphics and hardware design engineer at Raytheon's Missile Systems Division. Kevin earned a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Arun Mulpur Arun Mulpur is a technical marketing manager at The MathWorks. He is focused on products, technology, and design flows related to design, simulation, implementation, and verification of signal processing and communications systems. Prior to joining The MathWorks, he worked at Visual Solutions, Inc. most recently as Director of Product Engineering. Arun has authored several refereed articles, book chapters, and technical articles and has presented at various conferences and workshops on topics related to nonlinear systems analysis, linear and nonlinear control systems, signal processing, Model-Based Design, hardware and software design methodologies, code generation, and verification. Arun has a Bachelor’s degree from Osmania University, India and Master’s and Doctorate degrees from University of Massachusetts Lowell – all in Electrical Engineering.

Steve Miller

Steve Miller is responsible for the technical marketing of the physical modeling tools at The MathWorks. Steve joined The MathWorks as an Application Engineer in 2005 and moved to the Design Automation Marketing group at The MathWorks in 2006. Prior to that, Steve worked at Delphi Automotive in Braking Control Systems and at MSC.Software as an Adams specialist, consulting in various capacities at Ford, GM, Hyundai, BMW, and Audi. Steve has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Ying-On Yan

Ying-On Yan is a Senior Engineer on the Signal Processing & Communications (SPC) Pilots team at The MathWorks, focusing on automatic C/HDL code generation for SPC applications. He also developed capabilities for low-density parity-check codes in the Communications Toolbox and the Communications Blockset.

Prior to joining The MathWorks, he worked on standard compliant chipsets based on OFDM technology and had extensive experience in simulation, software development, verification, and performance evaluation of real-time embedded systems. Ying-On received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Frank Liu

Frank Liu has been with The MathWorks since 2003, and currently works in the Technical Marketing Department focusing on the Signal Processing and Communications area.  In his previous role at The MathWorks, he led the signal processing and communications application area in the Product Training Department.  Prior to joining The MathWorks, he worked for General Dynamics developing algorithms and waveforms for Software Defined Radios.  Frank Holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, where he specialized in communications systems.  He has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.

Sang-Ho Yoon

Sang-Ho Yoon is a Training Engineer on the Product Training Department at The MathWorks. He has been teaching The MathWorks training courses focusing on Control Design and Production Code Generation. Prior to joining The MathWorks in 2006, he worked in Central R&D Center, Mando Corporation for 5 years developing Control Systems of Automotive Chassis. He is specialized in dynamics analysis and control algorithm development. He has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from KyungHee University.

Ho-Hyun Sung

Young Lee

Young Lee holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Pusan National University, and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Pusan National University. He worked in the area of control systems for his graduate studies at Georgia Tech. Before he joined The MathWorks in October 2005, he worked for Printing Division, Samsung Electronics for two years designing controls for laser printers.

Wensi Jin

Wensi Jin is the Automotive Industry Marketing Manager for North America and Asia Pacific. He is responsible for supporting industry adoption of Model-Based Design and MathWorks tools. Prior to joining The MathWorks, he worked on real-time simulation and hardware in-the-loop test systems, first as an applications engineer then as a business development manager. He also worked as a development engineer focusing on automatic transmissions control systems at General Motors Powertrain. Wensi holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

James Kim

James Kim has a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Kyeongpook National University and a M.S. in Electronic Engineering from Kyeongpook National University. He specialized in digital signal processing and communications. He joined The MathWorks in 2006, after 4.5 years doing projects of IMT2000 and Wireless LAN at C&S Technology, 1 year developing modification version of GSM at Open Solution and 1 year developing DVB-T at silicone Vine. He is an expert user of SPW.
