The MathWorks Opens New Office in Stuttgart, Germany

Strengthens Local Support For German Automotive Industry and Production Code Generation

NATICK, Mass. - (06 Jun, 2005)

The MathWorks today announced that it has opened an office in Stuttgart, Germany to expand support for customers in the German automotive industry.  The office will establish a sales and application engineering team to better serve the Company’s major accounts in the Stuttgart region, such as DaimlerChrysler and Bosch.  More specifically, this location will have a development staff devoted to help customers shift from manual code to automatically generated production code for embedded automotive systems.

“The process of automatic production code generation enables automotive companies to accurately and efficiently create embedded software for control systems, which results in significant reductions in both development time and costs,” said Andreas Schindler, managing director, The MathWorks, Germany.  “Opening this office in Stuttgart offers us the opportunity to expand our already strong support for the automotive industry by bringing production code generation capabilities to the automotive research being done in this region.”

The new Stuttgart office expands the MathWorks presence in Germany, where the Company currently has offices in Aachen and Munich.  The MathWorks also has direct offices in France, Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.  In countries where The MathWorks does not have a direct presence, it continues to be served by authorized MathWorks distributors and resellers.
