The MathWorks Provides Technical Leadership at GSPx 2006

- Tuesday, October 31 at 11:40 a.m., Room 202-Houman Zarrinkoub will present the paper "From Algorithm Design to Product Development: Criteria for Selecting the Best Software Integration Environment."
- Wednesday, November 1 at 9:00 a.m., Room 205-Vinod Reddy will present the paper "Integrating Your Processor-Specific Code with Model-Based Design of Embedded Systems." Mark Corless is coauthor.
Technical Workshop
- Monday, Oct 30, 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., Workshop PM01, Room 202-MathWorks experts will present the workshop "Embedded Software and Hardware Design Flows using Model-Based Design." This workshop introduces embedded software and hardware design flows and related tools that can accelerate design the cycle, increase design reliability, improve design quality, and provide repeatable results for real-world signal processing system designs.
MathWorks Seminar
- Tuesday, October 31, 2006 from 8:30a.m.-12:00p.m.-MathWorks experts will present a three-part seminar "Accelerating Your Signal Processing Project with Today's MATLAB® and Simulink®." In the first part, Houman Zarrinkoub, product manager for MathWorks signal processing, will cover new verification and automatic code generation capabilities in MathWorks Release 2006b. In the second part, Gabe Moretti, a 30-year veteran of the EDA industry, will discuss best practices distilled from his report on engineering teams adopting a development flow using Model-Based Design for signal processing and communications products. In the third part, Chen Chang, private consultant and member of the research staff at Berkeley Wireless Research Center, will examine optimized hardware implementation with Simulink and the new product Simulink® HDL Coder.
