This example shows the simulation of synthetic stereo from a mono source.
Data Acquisition Toolbox provides a complete set of tools for analog input, analog output, and digital I/O from a variety of PC-compatible data acquisition hardware. The toolbox lets you configure your external hardware devices, read data into MATLAB and Simulink for immediate analysis, and send out data.
This example uses the Analog Output block from Data Acquisition Toolbox to output simulated synthetic stereo signals generated from a mono source using a Delay block from DSP System Toolbox. In this example, the sound card is selected as the output device in the Analog Output block.
This example requires Data Acquisition Toolbox and a Windows sound card.
The simulated stereo signal is sent to both channels of a Windows sound card. Verifying a Simulink model directly with the hardware enables you to quickly determine if a model is accurate. You can output data to multiple channels of a data acquisition device separately either synchronously or asynchronously using the Analog Output block.
Even though a Windows sound card is used for this example, you can use the Analog Output block to connect to other supported data acquisition devices.
