How do I get Matlab to work with Yosemite for student editions of Matlab?

1 view (last 30 days)
I downloaded and installed the patch to make Matlab R2013a compatible with the new Mac OS Yosemite but i still get the error that it is not compatible with the current OS. Is the patch not working because I have a student edition or is there something else I need to do?

If you did everything the blue sticky at the top of this page says, then the FAQ will fix it: http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#After_installation.2C_MATLAB_crashes_or_gives_an_error_message_when_I_try_to_run_MATLAB.

I wrote to Support regarding the same problem (I have Matlab 2013a Student Edition, and I run on OS X Yosemite 10.10). Here is the suggestion I got : Please check if you have the following folder on the system:
/Applications/MATLAB_R2013a_Student.app/Contents/MacOS
Should this folder not exist, please make a reinstallation of MATLAB.
Then, proceed with the workaround to make MATLAB run on Yosemite from here:
