how to insert .doc file name in it's header after making multiple copies of the .doc file having different names?

Hi all,
I'm making multiple copies of a word file, each with a different name. The problem is that I need the file name to appear in a header as well. How can I automate it??
I used 'Quick Parts' in word to place the file name in the header but each time I rename it I have to open the file and to refresh it ,but the thing is that I got about 1000 files to do so.
