Simulink Control Design 2.4

Product Description

Specifying and Computing Operating Points

Linear control design typically requires you to consider multiple operating points so as to account for the various set points of a nonlinear model. Simulink Control Design provides several ways to determine model operating points. You can:
  • Calculate steady-state operating points from user-defined setpoints using gradient-search and direct-search optimization methods
  • Take operating point snapshots at specific times or events during simulation
  • Import previously computed operating points from the MATLAB workspace, a file, or another linearization project

You can design controllers by manipulating plots (left) or by tuning parameters using automated and interactive techniques (right). Click on image to see enlarged view.
