Working with Simulink Response Optimization
Simulink Response Optimization provides an interactive graphical workflow to help you configure, manipulate, and run your optimization problem. A typical workflow takes you though the following steps:
- Graphically shaping or specifying design requirements for different model responses, including upper and lower bounds on time responses
- Selecting model parameters to optimize and start the optimization
- Graphically monitoring and controlling optimization progress
- Verifying the optimization results by comparing the final solution against design requirements
Simulink Response Optimization gives you access to a complementary set of optimization algorithms: gradient descent, simplex search, and pattern search (with the Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox, available separately). You can fine-tune optimization performance by adjusting optimization algorithm settings, such as convergence tolerances and number of iterations.
